I don't know who came up with the following; I received it in an email today. It's a very interesting manner of taking back lost ground. What do you think?

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do not think? While the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets, the media wrings its hands and criticizes the Bush Administration for perceived errors. Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended. Well, duh..why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?
SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA!!
Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without. Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter?
If you must have eggs, use real ones and benefit some American farmer. Easter is just an example, the point is.. do not wait for the government to act.
Just go ahead and assume control on your own. THINK ABOUT THIS If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast!! The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh The solution ?
Let's give them fair warning and send our own message. Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are planning on implementing this on June 4, and continue it until July 4. That is only one month of trading losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.
Remember, June 4 to July 4. EVEN BETTER. . . START NOW.
Send this to everybody you know.
Show them we are Americans and NOBODY can take us for granted.
If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our lives, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!
Pass it on, America

Jan and I are marking 16 years of marriage today.
We are blessed with each other, two beautiful daughters, a growing circle of brothers and sisters, great provision and abundant mercy from our Lord.
It has been an interesting year and we are thankful that God is using each event to mold and shape our hearts and lives. I won't pretend that we have made all the right moves, but we strive to let go, let God and let grow.
God is good.
We received a lesson last week on hearing from God. He still reveals Himself today, to those who incline an ear. He still reveals His presence, to those who seek Him. He has not left us and He has not forsaken us. He keeps His promises.
Your prayers are being used by Him, for us, for you, and for so many others. Mark your time well.
May our Father in heaven keep you at hand,
Steve

Humans nearly wiped out 70,000 years ago, study says
"Studies using mitochondrial DNA, which is passed down through mothers, have traced modern humans to a single "mitochondrial Eve," who lived in Africa about 200,000 years ago. The migrations of humans out of Africa to populate the rest of the world appear to have begun about 60,000 years ago, but little has been known about humans between Eve and that dispersal."
How interesting, other than the time stamp, it appears that "science" is getting around to the truth!

"Nine, eight, seven ..."
A crowd of about 10,000 people collectively began counting down on the University of Colorado's Norlin Quadrangle just before 4:20 p.m. Sunday.
Yet the massive puff of pot smoke that hovers over CU's Boulder campus every April 20 -- the date of an annual, internationally recognized celebration of marijuana -- began rising over the sea of heads earlier than normal this year.

Daniel Webster
Daniel Webster
"If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity."

Happy National Atheists Day!
Psalm 53:1 - The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
