A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in he looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.' The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.
Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting' It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him, knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.
The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked, stunned, and sat there looking on in silence.
The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting American soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me.'

As always we should be watching our kids for any type of noticable mood or personality changes, active increases or decreases in energy and "interesting" new friends; watchful eyes and ears can frequently head off major trouble before it develops.

Dear PROVE Members,
Below are links to both the McCain and Obama health plans. There is also an AAPS article discussing independent analyses of each plan. We urge you to take the time to read through this information. There are problems with both of these plans, and both candidates need to hear from those that will participate in the election process. As a matter of fact, every candidate, except for those like Land Commissioner, should hear your position on issues concerning your family’s health care so they will know how to help fix things after the election.
For more than a decade, PROVE has provided a voice and a platform for families to demand greater control over their vaccination decisions and to protect the privacy of their health records. PROVE was born out of the problematic health care policies of the Clinton administration regarding immunization registries. With the help of many concerned families, we were successful in aiding the defeat of a mandatory inclusion vaccine tracking registry in Texas. We were also successful at advocating for and getting legislation passed adding the conscientious exemption from mandatory vaccination and for aiding in the defeat of the Governor's executive order requiring the HPV vaccination of sixth grade girls in Texas.
The common thread through each of these issues we’ve become involved in is overreaching government. There is a broken health care system in this country: not because we don't have enough government oversight or involvement, but rather because we have too much. More is definitely not the answer. Much of what has been achieved in the last twelve years could be at risk with more government involvement. Both candidates want electronic medical records. Electronic records aren't really a problem in and of themselves, however, it is what can be done with them that is the concern. If personal electronic medical records are used to measure health care quality(according to the pharmaceutical industry’s standards) or reward providers for achieving performance thresholds (defined by those leaning towards pharmaceutical interventions including immunizations) as one candidate suggests, then we can kiss what is left of medical privacy and the freedom to truly choose our health care goodbye.
One candidate highlights immunization in several areas of his plan and says he will require that all children have health care coverage. What if your health care dollars could be better spent by paying cash to one of the growing number of doctors refusing to participate in the insurance system who also lets you CHOOSE not to immunize your child? Maybe your family chooses alternative medicine as your primary form of care. How would this insurance mandate on families and the extra costs associated with it affect you, your taxes, your employer, and your community?
Many of our current problems exist because we have allowed government institutions to run in a way where the people effectively have no voice. Pharmaceutical and medical industry lobbyists have been and continue to be the primary voice in Washington. Our children cannot afford to lose our voice as their parents – we know how to love and care for them better than any bureaucrat or conflict of interest laden lobbyist. Do not be fooled into falling for some government health care scheme that will be administered by bureaucrats and lobbied for by companies with a monetary interest while ignoring those who are affected the most.
Please take the time to read these health plans and research additional information before you vote. Then, most importantly of all, get ready to write letters and make phone calls no matter who wins because it will be necessary.
Sincerely, Rebecca Rex and Dawn Richardson

Which candidate’s health plan will hurt the most?
"PROVE provides information on vaccines, and the immunization policies and practices that affect the children and adults of Texas. Our mission is to prevent vaccine injury and death and to promote and protect the right of every person to make informed independent vaccination decisions for themselves and their families."

God is pro-choice
Choose His way or choose your way.
Choose right or choose wrong.
Choose the high road or choose the low road.
Choose.
Your choice.
There is, in my opinion, no single social event more "world changing" than the election of the President of the United States of America. This one event will alter the trajectories of billions of lives. This one event will usher in a new era affecting the lives of virtually every man, woman and child on this globe.
No other position on earth has the capacity to effect so much change. No other office has the global influence that this one holds. Like him or not, this one person will impact your life.
I am astounded to hear that so many persons are planning on withholding their votes. I have heard from so many that "my vote will not matter" and "there are no good choices" and "I am so sick of politics".
I ask these persons specifically to think on that a little longer.
Your vote, or the lack thereof, will decide the decision maker for world changing events. Your vote, or the lack thereof, will have an impact of far reaching consequence. Your vote, or the lack thereof, is crucial to the world population and the future of our global cultures.
The following is from Wikipedia:
"Elections for the United States Senate will be held on November 4, 2008, with 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested. Thirty-three seats are regular elections; the winners will be eligible to serve six-year terms from January 3, 2009 until January 3, 2015 as members of Senate Class II. There are also two special elections: one in Wyoming and another in Mississippi; the winners will serve the remainder of terms that expire on January 3, 2013, as members of Senate Class I.
The 2008 presidential election, many gubernatorial elections, and elections for all House of Representatives seats will occur on the same date, as well as many state and local elections.
The current composition of the Senate, going into the 2008 election, consists of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats, and two independents (Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, who both caucus with Democrats). Of the seats up for election in 2008, 23 are held by Republicans and 12 by Democrats."
In this country, I believe, there is no one consequnce to consider more gravely than that the next President will, in all likelyhood, nominate from 1-3 Supreme Court Justices and untold numbers of Federal District Court Judges.
If the Senate elections result in a filibuster proof majority by the Democrats, and Senator Obama is elected as President, he will face no challenges by the Senate on his appointments. It is a certainty that he will appoint extreme liberal candidates, that they will be confirmed by the liberal controlled Senate and that the Supreme Court will attain a liberal majority. It is equally certain that these liberal activist Justices will turn the Constitution of the United States "on its ear".
The Executive Branch, The Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch would be of one mind, one philosophy, one trajectory; for years to come. Totalinarianism won't be pretty for anyone not in control, even those who currently plan to cast ignorant and emotional ballots in that direction.
I am asking you to give grave consideration to these arguments and, if you should agree, to pass them on to everyone you know, asking them to make the same considerations and forwarding. It is not now too late for a groundswell of support to move John McCain into the office of President, but it may soon be.
No, John McCain is not perfect and he is not the one I would have selected as our next President. I do believe however, for moral minded Americans, that he is our only choice now.
Your vote matters.
May God bless you and your family and may God have mercy on America,
Steve
The United State Supreme Court Justices:
John G. Roberts, Jr., Chief Justice of the United States - 53
John Paul Stevens, Associate Justice - 88
Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice - 72

David Hackett Souter, Associate Justice, - 69
Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice - 60
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice - 75
Stephen G. Breyer, Associate Justice - 70
Samuel Anthony Alito, Jr., Associate Justice - 58
the clock is ticking

In my opinion, Barack Obama will win the election as President of the United States and this will open the door to the end of our national culture as it was designed by our forefathers.
A one party government, which is what we will have when Obama wins, will no longer listen to the people. They barely listen now, but with the restraints of a multi-party system removed, they will run rampant over the Constitution with no checks or balances for a minimum of 8-20 years.
The Democratic party, with the office of President and control of both Houses of Congress will:
Appoint only liberal judges to the Supreme Court and federal District Courts
Adopt the laws of foreign nations (by treaty and U.N. agreement)
Cripple the Bill of Rights, specifically the 1st and 2nd Amendments
Raise taxes to pay for a cascading of pork barrel spending
Destroy the Medical Care system in place
Destroy the effectiveness of the U.S. military
Remove freedom of choice in a variety of arenas
Persecute and prosecute Christians in the name of "tolerance" and "hate speech"
Effect unlimited abortion
Effect Euthanasia of the elderly, then the mentally imperfect, then ... ?
In short, all the far left liberal agenda will be enacted by an unchecked Democratic party government (NOT democratic government, Democratic PARTY government)
Where will we feel it first?
The economy - The Democratic Party is historically pro-tax raising and this unchecked Congress will put most of the middle class in the tank.
Religious expression - The right to free speech, already under assault in most of our society, will end for Christians specifically and other religious groups by association.
The Right to Keep and Bear Arms - handguns will disappear; crime will not. The cost of ammunition will escalate on a level making it almost out of reach for most law abiding Americans.
The rights of parents to make decisions for their children. The United States is one of two countries that have not signed the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. Under Obama it will be signed and American parents will lose parental rights on a horrific scale (look it up).
Education - The National Teachers Association, one of the most liberal, socialist, organizations in the world, will throw off all guise of responsible education and will ramp up an already systematic method of forced social indoctrination, such as we have never seen. Have you talked to your public school educated children lately? Do you wonder where they get their distorted, revisionist views of the worlds and America (are you a product of that environment yourself)? Look in their text books. Go to a "friends of the library" book sale and pick up a history book written before 1970. Compare it to what is being taught in our schools today; do the same for math, science, etc..
The list is withering .....
Many people will vote "Anti-Bush" on Nov. 4, seeing Senator Obama as the only choice. They will vote without giving any of these issues a thought and with no consideration of Senator McCain. While I am not a fan of either candidate, I will vote "anti-totalitarianism" and cast my vote for Senator McCain.
At the same time, we must consider that 100% of the House of Representatives is up for re-election. I am encouraging an "anti-incumbent" vote for the Senate and the House. I ask you to vote against anyone who is currently in office. It is time for a voters revolution.
Your vote on Nov. 4 will change the face of this nation either way. Take a hard look before you vote.
George Bush is not the enemy, it is our ignorance.
