President Obama seems to be spending most of his time lately criticizing everyone who disagrees with him; the problem seems to be that he can't FIND anyone that agrees with him that is not a Democrat party hack!
President Obama should be focusing on acquiring leadership skills.
And, of course, he and his fellow Democrats are going to take NO responsibility for the problems on the table!
Obama fires up House Democrats to help push through stimulus bill
"President Barack Obama said Thursday that "the scale and the scope" of his economic plan is right, turning up the heat on critics he said were hawking "phony arguments" and "false theories of the past" to chip away at the bill's programs.
Don't come to the table with the same tired arguments and worn ideas that helped to create this crisis," the president said at the House Democrats' annual retreat in Williamsburg."
The bottom line is that the President wants everyone who disagrees with him to stop fussing, because they're just plain wrong! Now I wonder what happened to that promised "spirit of change" he was so clear about last year ...

Republican Senator Proposes Amendment to Overturn Ban on Cash for Schools Hosting Faith Forums
"Republican Sen. Jim DeMint proposed an amendment Thursday to kill a provision in the Senate stimulus bill that prohibits renovation money for schools that allow religious groups to meet on campus.
DeMint proposed the amendment after the provision was passed in the Democratic-controlled House despite unanimous Republican opposition. The amendment is expected to be voted on Thursday, an aide to the senator told FOXNews.com."

The economic stimulus plan proposed by the House and now in the Senate, appears to be with pork like a Christmas sausage! President Obama's Democrat party is kicking off with no "change" but party politics business as usual.
I find it distressingly humorous that President Obama in his weekly address to America stated that he "found" these financial problems after he took office. Yep, he's about change all right; small change for you and me and big change for Democrat cronies!
I call upon each of us to make those phones in Washington ring to let them know that we are not falling for this "bailout of Congress". We either need to bailout the economy with common sense priorities or nothing at all!

A friend forwarded this letter about checking the label on products and buying America first:
This may seem like a funny email but I was so surprised by what I
discovered. I had to share it with you.
When I think of the job situation in this country, I can't help but think this helps in some small way. I don't know how many households there are in the U.S. but if these were the only things we bought think of the impact....
This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled "Everyday Value." I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same except for the price. The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the USA . So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here - from a company in Cleveland OH !
So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets....yep you guessed it Bounce was more money and made in Canada, the Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!
So my challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!
If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Besides, you might save a little green in the process. Stop buying from China ..........
We should have awakened a decade ago......
lets get with the program.... help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the U.S.A.

It's no secret that the media tends to twist and distort the "facts" to present their philosphy as prevelant on any given issue. Conservative vs. liberal, right vs. left, north vs. south, newspapers vs. television vs. internet; they al slant the "truth" to display the personal "belief" of choice.
From the "Principles of Journalism" at Jouralism.org: "Democracy depends on citizens having reliable, accurate facts put in a meaningful context. Journalism does not pursue truth in an absolute or philosophical sense, but it can--and must--pursue it in a practical sense. This "journalistic truth" is a process that begins with the professional discipline of assembling and verifying facts. Then journalists try to convey a fair and reliable account of their meaning, valid for now, subject to further investigation. Journalists should be as transparent as possible about sources and methods so audiences can make their own assessment of the information. Even in a world of expanding voices, accuracy is the foundation upon which everything else is built--context, interpretation, comment, criticism, analysis and debate. The truth, over time, emerges from this forum. As citizens encounter an ever greater flow of data, they have more need--not less--for identifiable sources dedicated to verifying that information and putting it in context."
The philosophy above dictates presentation as the goal of a journalist, leaving the truth for tomorrow. How many newspapers, how many sources, I wonder, must I read/encounter to determine the truth?
It is no wonder confusion and controversy reign in our society. How many versions of a single story do you read before you determine the "truth" of the matter?

"Slow Fade" by Casting Crowns
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to followIt's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
